Colourful week

This week has been a rainbow-ful week.

Monday started off pretty badly - First, I was late for yoga,2nd,i forgot to bring a lock for my belongings....and lastly,when I got home, I wanted to check for smses sent to me the whole day (i had forgotten to bring out my phone) only to find my hp pouch feeling all wet and sticky.

Guess wat? My facial mask packaging had leaked onto the pouch and had leaked onto my phone which caused it to have a 'bubbly' surface.

Thought the next day will be better....but no...it was a disappointng Tuesday because something unexpected happened and i was super...down..(i dun wanna elaborate too much on this)..

Den on Wednesday, the moment I went to work,i received an email from my big boss regarding some issues. Some1 had miscommunicated a misunderstanding on an issue tt i was supposed to follow up on and it almost got me into deep trouble. Thankfully, big boss cleared the matter up with me and it has been resolved.

And wednesday was also the day tt I felt guilty bout some HR matters....but like boss said "a law is a law...and we have to abide by it".

Thursday was the day I OT-ed till 11pm.....because I had to sum up 8 ethics policies into 1 A4 paper and I spent almost the whole day doing it,but in the evening, still had to lead my team to jog ard the area.

Friday wasa sleepy and tiring day,but productive day.Got alot of things done, the evening started off well...

I made an effort to attend cell nowadays.

This girl wanted to go to the Addidas sale and why wld shopaholic reject such a request to tag along aye?

But disappointly,by the time we reached, most of the stuff was already sold. Can managed to buy a cool jacket,while I got myself another running singlet...at $20,considerably cheap given that they sell it $40 at retail price.

Went robinson sale, and I got myself 2 packs of eyeshadow and a lovely white top.heh...

We ended our Expo trip by dropping by the Food Fair...and this is what we had

SATURDAY MORNING - accompanied my bestie to accomplish a task to surprise her bf....and later,met up with her bf for lunch.

And i finally got to meet him.Fel and Dave really make a funny couple. You shld see how they are constantly teasing each other and everything.it's entertaining!haha

WEDNESDAY - The day I had alot of my plate and was late for the meet up.causing our dear fren to be unhappy.hehe...oops!sorry dawn, my work has to come first la.

So,we met up at Marina Square,Sakae sushi and swensens's for dessert!

did i ever mention that Dawn and I used to be at loggerheads when we were younger? used to hate her alot.hahahaha.....but thank God,we're goodfrens now! *Grinz*

Trying so hard not to think too much bout certain issues...but it's constantly running thru the back of my mind.

It's as if I'm being put to the test when I decided to make tt decision. But I will press on and I'm sure this time, I made the right decision. Not gonna give up nor lose the battle so soon. I'm gonna fight like how I used to...and give thanks despite the circumstances.

Impact 2008

from J.E.R.E.G.O.N - it's funny how we didn't take much pictures together while we were at work. But amazing how we still kept in touch after so long.

The company (management) was corrupted but the company (of colleagues) was fun and times when we defied the boss and the boss' pet - buddy hopping and slacking and joking was what made our duration there so memorable.

from (B)rise (D)e (J)oie - and it started with me helping Grace, den came her student liza who brought Farah and Nur Shar and tt's how i got to know them after dropping by the shop pretty often when I was still residing in Marine Parade.

Then Nur Shar brought her frens along to the shop on Sundays and I got to know Agatha and Yvonne..

and our KL Trip materialised, got to know Nurfah!

Tt's what frens are for! Shar and Farah are such nice pple, u know u can always count on em!

Nurfath - I may not know her well,but she comes across as a great person and very spontaneous

Shar Shar - Whenever I see her, I just feel happy.heh

She's so friendly, she can practically click with everyone!

BUDDIES! FRENS from Everywhere!!

Ian was my senior in Band back then during the secondary sch days and Denny was my bro's primary sch classmate.

We only started hanging out one day when I saw Denny's profile in my ex company's database and I called to disturb him. And we kept in touch and one day when he wanted to take some property agent class, he asked if I wanted to give it a try as well and that was when i started hanging out with the 2 of em. Now it's just 3 of us because most of their buddies are either in another country or busy with own stuff.

For once, I look older.heh....and tt's cos the 3 of them are younger den me!!! Apart from Jas, Qing Ying and Li Yi are Netballers who played for our church during the Grace Cup. Lovely gals who reminds me of my younger secondary sch days.

And there's Joy whom I got to know when I was 18yrs old and was helping AUnty Lynda and Aunty Cindy in a Businessmen Conference held in Meritus Mandarin Hotel. Joy was only 12, but we kept in touch and when I was in HK recently, I finally met up with her again.

She definitely has grown up to be a young fine lady.When I was there, she called me "jie jie" and was holding my hands like close sisters do. Quite a nice feeling,since I don't have any sisters to go shopping with.

Then there is Aunty Lynda who nv fails to put a smile on her face no matter how upset she is with something or even when something's troubling her. She's always cheery, energetic and happy. In church, she's 1 of those u definitely know and if u have nv heard of her name in church,then I think u're kinda way too outdated.hahaha...

D-A-N-C-E Ministry

I started dancing when I was a young girl. Back then it was tambourine and ribbons in COS (Woodlands) and then when I moved back to MP, it was still tambourine but hip hop came along when my 3 good frens roped me in. Too bad, shit happens and I can only smile at the memories I've had for the many years I've danced.

Celebrating a certain person's bday who didn't deserve it at all. But oh well.....we've moved into a new yr!! *Grinz*

Aunty Dolly ---> She is equally cheerful and it's always fun to have her around. I always enjoy the shopping trips with her and dancing with her. You can just feel her passion to dance because she wants to glorify God's name and not for her own glory.

A successful Thanksgiving and D24 performance.(notice i said PERFORMANCE)

My headache but yet, they brought me much joy as well. They made me realise also, that I can nv go back to Sunday School to teach.haha...Have lost tt kinda patience I used to have in teaching little children.

Annette...got to know her thru thanksgiving. She's really crazy and happening in her own way. And she made me feel like I was 13 again. Imagine during crazy stuff with her....totally forgetting all the etiquettes a 24yr old shle be behaving.

It was a job well done! Much thanks to Agnes too!

Agnes...the one who has so much on her plate - from working full time at work, OT-ing,going to COOS for practices and juggling with part time studies, she deserves more than just a Pat on her back. Her strength really comes from God and she has a very supportive husband who has earned my admiration for being there for her all the time even if it means havin to sit there with just the PSP for hours just to wait for her to go back together.

Then there's Katie who is as straight forward as I am..perhaps even more direct than me but yet,a very lovable girl who is slowly but surely learning more of God and how to glorify Him thru dance. Both Katie and I are pple who like to plan stuff and when we do,we want to get it done fast.

For example,we're going to Redang and we setttled everything within a month. our HK trip took much longer to settle and both of us were so happy with the result.ahha..

no matter how busiy I am,i always try and make time for family activities even if it means sacrificing my weekends and sleep...like this...all the way to JB on sat to celebrate granny's bday.

or to sacrifice my fun,just for dad...tt special surprise..just to let dad know tt we love him and we are behind him no matter how tough his work can be.

there....self entertainment when we aren't close with our other cousins and had nothing better to do.

@dEc.C.O - my 1st corporate workplace, the place i got to know many many people, and the place that left many good and bad memories for me. But nevertheless, made some really good gfs and buddy!

I started hanging out with 5 other lovely gfs...

and den xing jia left for further studies....and the gals slowly started drifting apart because they had 'no time to meeet"

reunion when cyn was back for a short holiday recently....when the other 2 had to "rush some income tax stuff" they claim

Qiu Lin...my bestie at work!she's one of the last few persons i got to know...yet, we feel so comfortable hanging out with each other. She's been so bz with work and studies,i miss hanging out with her and telling her all my latest updates and dates!

and there's Jaslyn, the only mama in the group...hahaha...but yet,the one with the most blue jokes! she,together with Jolene, always make a grp tag team disturbing adrian who'll be left speechless and embarrassed.haha....she's someone we can talk to bout anything and she'll also share her experiences.going out with her and her hubby is ever so entertaining!

church alone..there are many cliques.....and I'm part of the few that I've known for many years,some....since primary school....here's the introduction!

On the left is Doreen.....Doreen was my 'shepherd' when I was 13, the following yr,she left for perth to further her studies. When she came back,we weren't as close until she joined Prayer Ministry and tt's when we started sharing and talking and getting close again.

Now that we're both busy with our own stuff,and prayer min no longer exists,we try to meet up for lunch or catch up after service. She's a crazy young woman who dun seem to act her age.heh

Here's BETTY!!!!ugly betty!!!Betty Booppppp!!haha....she's funny!hear her talk and u'll be amused and entertained sometimes!hahaha....betty is waaayyyyy much older den i am,but sometimes,i feel like the older one.heh...she's cute,and really innocent when it comes to certain stuff.

But yet,we love her the way she is and I always enjoy her company!

This is geraldine and amy, part of 1 of the cell grp tt i attend now.....and nv seem to have captured any shots with them alone.haha..

Geraldine is a very honest gal who is open to sharing anything with us. and because of that,we feel so close and so much like sisters.All of us trying to encourage her when she's down,supporting her behind whatever decisions she make and we simply enjoy those gals' night out when the guys are too bz to attend cell.

Amy...she stays near me and those cab sessions we share always edifies and encourages me.At times, she may sound pessimistic but when you hear her spiritual knowledge and thoughts,you'll be amazed at how deep she thinks. SHe truly loves God and however she feels really encourages me.

This lady is very loud,yet innocent sometimes...but fun!she has many crazy ideas and events at times tt i'm crazy enuff to follow her and peter sometimes. I truly encourage her sharing what she's been thru over the years and whenever I go thru anything, she nv condemns nor judge me....and even if she's agst it,she'll still support me and pray for me.

And I still have the flowers in my room!!!

Introducing....RUTH!!! ruth and I go wayyyy back and we got really close when we went on a Philippines Mission trip together when I was 17. We went crazy over the filipino guys and both had the same taste liking the same guy who I ended up with for a very short while a few yrs later.hahaha

Den we kinda grew distant after she went to UK to further her studies. Because she was hardly around, I nv had time to meet up with her...and it became the usual hi and byes! Until yunz came along..

Yun hui brought SUNSHINE back into my life. Just when things went bad with me and my 3 very best friends, i went into my own 'slight depression' and I cldn't laugh or be as crazy as I used to be. and I only realised it when I got to know Yunz thru Sean and she started hanging out with us so often, I was often asked to join in their activities. That was when I saw so much of myself in her that I realised I gotta get back on my feet and be cheery once again.

Indeed as the song sings "you give and take away....my heart will choose to sing, Lord BLESSED BE UR NAME" And I told myself that I will nv stay sad for long again.

TIll now,I'm still tt way!!!

And we're always meeting our good frens' other halves together, taking crazy shots is 1 form of ice breaking. They're other halves nv fail to enjoy our company. ANd we're very encouraged by tt.Cos at the end of the day,they become our frens too.ANd we're glad that they have frens to hang out with if they other halves (our gd frens) aren't with them.

Tt's sean and belle his gf.Sean and I go wayyy back in History. we've had our fair share of cold wars and quarrels as frens...the backstabbing....and everything...but ultimately, by God's grace, we're still frens!and one of my closest frens as well!

Sean was the one who brought yunz to Christ and if not for him,i wldn't have gotten to know her!

There! I told ya our frens' other halves always enjoyed our company!haha

This is matthew! Sean's cousin, and also one of the other prayer ministry warriors!

In fact, he was the head of prayer min,and thru him,I learnt so much bout praying in depth and knowing God.Matt's very faithful in serving and even after he's left for further studies, the young people still looks forward to seeing him when he's back.

He's a guy who nv grows up!!haha

There's Jesslyn whom I've known since i was perhaps 16?or 17?whEN I first got to know this girl,it was actually to help 1 of my fren to know hre as well.hahah

Back then,i was always the bridge between the 2 genders.and because of tt 'helpfulness',i got to know her better and when he and aaron finally got together,we got even closer as well.haa

Jess is very easy going and she can get along with anyone,everyone!!!BUT if you ever wanna camwhore with her,make sure she's not using her camera...cos the pictures will nv get uploaded and will nv land in your com!haha

and she just turned 21 nt too long ago.wah liew...suddenly u seem so young!haha

Jia En...the prayer warrior who encourages me by sending words of wisdom thru sms very randomly.She'll pray for me and she'll nv fail to encourage you by praying anytime u need her to.

Zhang Qi...altho we do not hang out very often,but there's just this sense of closeness that everytime,whenever we have time to catch up,we nv fail to fill each other up with details.

good bosses are hard to come by.ANd I thank God for Cecilia who has shown great leadership and one who nv flares up at us,no matter how we've erred.she's very patient and I know there's so much I can learn from her.




den there's Junie...my 2nd boss who's also a christian but she hasn't been going to church faithfully (like me) because of work and I'm slowly encouraging her to be faithful in going as well.But yet,her stand is so much more firm den mine and I pray that pple will see the change in her.

She's a nice person,just that her approach is wrong.I'm going to HK with her and I'm glad that she has found a fren in me.

She currently my mentor at work,the one who's guiding me towards career progression.

There's my manager,Serene, whom I report to at work. Serene is very nonsensical and she brings joy to our department.Everyone loves her and even though she can be naggy at times(to me), i still appreciate her spending time to help me and advise me whenever I did something seriously wrong. ANd she nv scolds me nor put the entire blame on me.

Of cos in every dept, there will always be 1 or 2 weird pple....but at the end of the day,a department works like how a body functions. We all have to play our part to make the dept function.

Outside work, I've been out with Sheena and Candace and the cyclathon was quite an experience.

it definitely brought sheena and I closer and she's one of the nicest few in the department.No wonder she is the only SNR HR OFFICER there.

Candace the crazy girl from Conference Service who'll do crazy stuff with me like walking around orchard at 1am for 1hr....chatting as we walk along....and taking crazy pics with me.haha..love this cheery nv grow up girl!

The 'school' I founded when I was still serving in CHildren's ministry...hahaha..

It was fun....and i'm glad it still 'exists'.heh

Student....aka JAslyn, has been a great assistant to me when Grace Cup was on. She was the one who'll support faithfully and play and coordinate whenever help was needed. As i was contemplating whether to take on the role as 'team manager' this yr,Jaslyn said this "no matter what,if you continue to lead,I will support you" and seeing her enthusiasm, I felt that this was something I sh;dn't let go of.

I knew Gillian...aka TEACHER since i was 11.But it was really after tt incident that I got closer to this bunch of gals. Gill is very welcoming and anyone who talks to her will feel like he/she is part of the family. And I love how she makes me feel loved and her lending me her ears whenever i need someone to talk to in church.

and my crazy student. She nv fails to brighten up anyone's day and she's the other one i can go shopping with!haha

Then there's pearlyn who's starting to join us because of me!!!hahaha...I really love this gal.

She's damn steady.when i needed to go chinatown,she readily agreed to accompany me.when i needed to go again to collect my cheongsam,she readily agreed again.And when I needed a place to bake cookies for Christmas, she was more than happy to have me around to go thru the whole baking process together.

This gal is so fun to be with....when I'm with her,sometimes I feel like a small lil gal...cos i can 'tae' with her.haha




and this is pamela......whom I got to know thru Gill.she has become one of my marathon khaki.hehe
